Visit Lincolnshire’s Natural Coast through the different seasons and not just for the visiting birds and seals. There is a whole variety of plants that thrive in this salty environment adding variety to the landscape and supporting the vibrant bird and insect life.

Nature Reserves

The Saltfleetby/Theddlethorpe Reserve is noted for its plantlife.  The dense scrub of sea buckthorn on the fore-dune. On the dunes in spring and early summer a wide range of flowering plants such as cowslips, with marsh orchids and yellow flag on the fresh water marshes.

Wildlife

Lincolnshire’s Coast is hotspot for bird watching, but there’s much more to discover, with fascinating visits from migrating seals, to creepy crawlies, and don’t forget to look out to sea and you might be rewarded with a sighting of harbour porpoises.
